Oak forests, valley panoramas, and a quiet road above McLeod Ganj — your Himalayan base camp, done right.
Perched on Dharamkot Road with oak and pine forests at our doorstep, The Oak Valley was built for travelers who want more than a hotel room — they want to wake up inside a painting.
Every morning here starts with birdsong and mist rolling over the Dhauladhar peaks. Our rooms open onto private balconies that frame the Kangra Valley like a living canvas, while hand-finished wood interiors keep things warm when the mountain evenings turn cool.
We're close enough to McLeod Ganj's cafes and temples for an afternoon stroll, yet far enough from the main square to hear nothing but wind through the trees at night.
Two room tiers, one shared philosophy: every window should frame something worth staring at.
Wake up to an unobstructed sweep of the Kangra Valley from your private balcony. Finished with hand-oiled wood panels and soft ambient lighting for restful evenings after a day exploring the hills.
Our largest rooms sit at the top floor with wraparound views of the Dhauladhar peaks. Extra floor space, upgraded bath amenities, and a deep balcony designed for lingering over morning chai.
The small things that turn a mountain hotel into a place you actually want to come back to.
North Indian and Himachali dishes made from scratch daily in our ground-floor kitchen.
Every floor faces the open valley — no blocked sightlines, just sky and green ridges.
We'll arrange cabs, treks, and day trips so you can skip the haggling at the taxi stand.
Solid connectivity throughout the property — yes, even in the mountains.
Step outside your room into a private perch above the treetops, morning or midnight.
Geyser-heated water around the clock — because mountain mornings are cold.
Glimpses of your next mountain getaway.

Three walks we recommend to every guest — each one starts within minutes of checkout.
Head out before breakfast and follow the stone path down to Bhagsunag Falls. The trail winds through a small market and ends at a cascade tucked between mossy rocks — best visited early, before the crowds wake up.
Walk downhill to the Tsuglagkhang Complex, home to the Dalai Lama's residence and the Namgyal Monastery. Sit in the courtyard for the evening prayer chanting, then loop back through McLeod Ganj's main square for Tibetan thukpa.
The big one. Start before dawn from Dharamkot and climb 9 km through rhododendron forest to the Triund ridge at 2,850 m. The last stretch is steep, but the reward is a 360-degree panorama of snow-covered Dhauladhar peaks stretching into the sky.
We'd love to hear from you. Reach out to book your stay or ask any questions.
